Self-awareness is a series of watercolor painting on multi-media vellum defines Qing's identity through visual language, which is inspired by Chinese Buddhist mural in Tang Dynasty. In addition, rather than depicting a self-portrait, Qing chose parts of her body that were void of gender, race or clearly definitive physical features.
